As per the news, the Bihar government will be implementing the recommendations for the Sixth Pay commission from January 1, 2006.

When will the payment be made after implementation of Sixth Pay Commission in Bihar?
The actual benefits will be given from April, 2007.

Any details about the grade pays?
The government has also decided to give grade pay of Rs 4200 in the scale of 5000-8000 and 5500-9000 as recommended by the pay panel. This is better that the previously announced grade pays of 3200 and 3600.

This will cost an additional financial burder or liability to the Bihar government to the tune of Rs 525 crore
